Even before Covid, elderly people had challenges in daily life.
For example the finger movement and feelings in the hands can be an issue.
But playing cards is a nice and social way of staying awake or young. For young and old people.
Having issue with finger motor function should not be a reason not to play cards with friends and have fun.
The logical consequence: take some wood, some cuts here and there, grind it and give it away to elderly home.
