4th day: to Donauwörth; 94km; 185 climbing meters

9 Sep

The lovely night in the hotel was nice and the day started right with a breakfast near the hotel

Very soon after Ulm, we left Baden-Württenberg to get into the Freistaat Bayern… Riding along the Danube is very nice with many forest parts that protect against wind and sun. Some are flat, others are dirt road but all more or less fine.

We had lunch at a water-walk station where people came to walk a bit in cool water. Very nice when the weather is that nice.

Heinz was once again in good mood: he started to clean my (just dusty) cycling boots because I had been surprised that he had a shoes brush on board.

We finally arrived at Donauwörth and pitched the tent at the canoe club. After some resting we went out for supper. We met also Scott from Boulders/Colorado(USA) who is cycling in different part of the world and giving talks about the James Webb Space Telescope that will be launch in the next years: www.jwstwbt.com

Ready to enjoy a resting day…. Cheers!
